BCECE Exam / Bihar CET


Bihar CET, the common entrance exam, is conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for admissions in Engineering courses, Medical courses and Agricultural streams.

Bihar Cet Details:
The exam, BCECE or Bihar CET, was introduced by the Government of Bihar in through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act 1995. Many educational institutes in Bihar accept scores of BCECE exam.

Eligibility;
The candidates should be above 17 years of age. For the reserved categories’ candidates, there is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.

The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics.

The candidates who have appeared in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply to appear in the competitive entrance test


Exam Pattern;
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts entrance test in two parts once in a year – the first part is usually held in the January and the second part is conducted in the month of May / June. Students can appear in any of the two parts, according to their preferred field, For engineering programs, the questions consist of:

• Physics
• Mathematics
• Chemistry

For Medical and Agricultural programs, the questions are based on:
• Physics
• Biology
• Chemistry

• The candidates have to complete all the answers within three hours, which is also the duration of the examination.
• All the instructions and questions in BCECE entrance test are only in English Medium.
