Assam JAT
Courses offered;
The entrance test is conducted for the following educational courses in the following streams:
B Tech
BE
BAMS
BDS
BHMS
BUMS
MBBS
Eligibility criterion:
The students should be above 17 years of age and must be a resident of Assam.
The students need to have cleared 10+2 Certificate Examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.
The qualifying test must be passed by the candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% in case of SC and 40% in case of ST) in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the first attempt.
The student, who are applying for B.Tech courses through Assam JAT, should not be above 21 years of age (three years relaxation for SC/ST candidates) and below 17 years of age.
Exam Pattern;
Students applying for admission to institutes under DTE Assam, to the aforementioned streams, have to clear Assam Joint Admission Test. The examination pattern of Assam JAT is given in the following lines.
The question paper is divided into four parts:
Mathematics (100 marks)
Physics (100 marks)
Chemistry (100 marks)
Biology (100 marks)
• All the questions are multiple-cum-Subjective type question, in which, the student have to solve objective type questions. They also required for writing essay on the given topics.
• The students have to complete each paper in three hours time-span.
• In the entrance test, there is no provision of negative marking.
