REGULAR PROGRAMMES
Professional Courses:
1. Siksha Sastri (eq. to B.Ed.) :
(Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) )
Mode of Selection:
Admission to Shiksha Shastri course will be made through entrance test called Pre-Shiksha Shastri Test (PSST)
Eligibility :A pass in degree with 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 45% of marks (for SC/ST 40%) in any one of the following examinations :
1. Sastri (3 years)
2. B.A. (Sanskrit)
3. B.A.L. (Sanskrit)
4. B.O.L. (Sanskrit)
5. Vidwat Madhyama
6. Siromani
7. Acharya
8. Vidwat Uttama
9. M.A. (Sanskrit)
(or) any other equivalent examination recognised by the Vidyapeetha.
Age requirements :
A candidate seeking admission to Shiksha Shastri Course must have completed 20 years
Seats: Out of the 154 seats available for admission, in 80% will be filled by candidates coming from Traditionalstream and the remaining 20% by candidates from Modern stream.
a. Traditional Stream : - Shastri, B.A. (L) (Sanskrit), B.O.L.(Sanskrit), Siromani, Acharya, Vidwat Madyama, Vidwat Uttama.
b. Modern Stream : B.A., with Sanskrit as one of the main subjects
OR M.A. Sanskrit.
Note : If sufficient number of seats are not filled in one stream, candidates from the other stream may be considered for admission in those vacant seats.
Reservation : SC - 15% , Ex-Serviceman - 1% , ST - 7% , Sports & Games - 2% , OBC - 27% , Internal Candidates - 20% , Ph.C - 3%
*Competent authorities for issue of certificates for reserved Categories are as follows :
(i) Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category District Magistrate / Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Tehsildar /M.R.O.
(ii) Physically Challenged and Blind – Surgeon of Civil Hospital (Only 40% or more disability will be countable).
(iii) For Ex-servicemen Secretary, Soldiers / Sailers /Airmens Board.
(iv) Sports & Games Participation at Inter University / State / National level only will be considered.
(v) Internal Candidates The regular final year students of Shastri /Acharya of the Vidyapeetha and the regular 1 year students of Acharya having passed the Shastri exam of Vidyapeetha with 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
2. Siksha Acharya (eq. to M.Ed.) :
(Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) )
Mode of Selection: The Admission to Shiksha-Acharya Course is done through Pre-Shiksha Acharya Test (PSAT).
Eligibility :
A student desirous of seeking adminssion to Shiksha - Acharya course of study must have passed Acharya/M.A. Sanskrit / Vidwat Uttama or any equivalent examination with Shiksha Sastri or B.Ed. with Sanskrit Teaching Methodology or equivalent degree recognised by the University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in both.
Age requirement : A candidate seeking admission to Siksha Acharya course must have completed 21 years of age.
Seats : 25 seats
Reservation : Reservation will be made according to Govt. of India rules.
Competent authorities for issue of certificates for reserved categories:
District Magistrate / Sub divisional Magistrate / Tahsildar/ M.R.O.
