B.S.Ed (HI) - Bachelor of Special Education (Hearing Impairment):
Duration of the course; 1 year (2 semesters)

Eligibility:
*Admission to Bachelor of Special Education (Hearing Impairment) is open to candidates who have passed B.Ed degree examination of the University of Mysore or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore
*The candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% of the aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission.
*Only those candidates who have not completed 30 years of age as on the 1st July of the academic year in which admission is sought are eligible for admission. Relaxation of age (up to 10 years) shall be considered for candidates on deputation/in-service with the approval of the University.
**The selection will be on merit basis at All-India level, based on marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination.
Stipend: Students admitted to the B.S. Ed (Hearing Impairment) course will be given a stipend of Rs. 400/- per month for 10 months.
P.G. Diploma in Clinical Linguistics for Speech-Language Pathology:

Eligibility:
*Candidates with BASLP degree of the University of Mysore or any other University, approved by RCI and considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% of marks are eligible for admission.
Note: 'Average' refers to the average of the aggregate marks of all the years/semesters of BASLP course.
*Only those candidates who have not completed 30 years of age as on 1st July of the relevant academic year shall be eligible for admission.
Mode of Selection:
The admissions shall be in accordance with the merit-cum-reservation policy of the Central Government (combined merit list for SC & ST). Selection is on All India Basis. Clinical experience in the field of communication disorder will be given preference.
P.G. Diploma in Forensic Speech Sciences and Technology :

Eligibility:
*Admission is open to the candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.)/BASLP or equivalent from any other recognized university/MBBS/Masters in Clinical Psychology / Experimental Psychology / Cognitive Psychology with Neuropsychology as a part of the course.
*Those with the above qualification, working in the electrophysiological lab or sponsored/deputed from any hospital, medical college or institution would be given an additional weightage of 2%.
*No upper age limit is applicable.
Mode of Selection:
*The eligible applicants shall be short listed in order of merit which is decided based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (i.e. total marks obtained/total marks allotted x100).
*The admissions shall be in accordance with the merit-cum-reservation policy of the Government of India.
*Candidates who are short-listed based on the merit-cum-reservation will undergo an interview.
M.Sc. (Audiology) ;

Eligibility:
*Candidates with a BASLP/B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) degree of the University of Mysore or any other University, approved by RCI and considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% of marks are eligible for admission.
Note: 'Average' refers to the average of the aggregate marks of all the years/semesters of BASLP/B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) course]
*Only those candidates who have not completed 30 years of age as on 1st July of the relevant academic year shall be eligible for admission.
*Admission shall be made only on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the institute for this purpose. Further, only those candidates who secure more than 40% in the entrance examination are eligible for admission.
Mode of Selection:
An entrance examination based on the B.Sc. (speech and hearing)/BASLP syllabus will be conducted for M.Sc. (Audiology) at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Manasagangothri, Mysore for the selection of candidates.
Stipend: Students admitted to M.Sc. (Audiology) will be given a stipend of Rs. 650/- per month for 10 months in a year.
M.Sc. (Speech-Language Pathology):

*Admission to Master in Special Education (Hearing Impairment) (M.S. Ed-HI) is open to candidates who have passed B .Ed degree examination and B.Ed (HI)/B.S.Ed (HI) or equivalent of the University of Mysore or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore.
*The candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% of the aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission.
*Only those candidates who have not completed 30 years of age as on the 1st July of the academic year in which admission is sought are eligible for admission. Age relaxation of up to 10 years can be considered for candidates on deputation/in-service with the approval of the University

(Junior Research Fellowship)
Eligibility:
*Candidates must have passed M.Sc. (Audiology) or M.Sc. (Speech and Hearing) or MASLP degree examination of the University of Mysore or any other examination considered equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore with a minimum of 55% (50% in the case of SC/ST) marks.
*One year work/research experience after M.Sc. (Speech & Hearing)/M.Sc. (Audiology)/ MASLP.
Mode of Selection:
*Eligible candidates will be selected after an interview by the Selection Committee constituted for the purpose by the Director of the institute.
*The candidates are governed by the rules and regulations of AIISH Fellowship.
*The distribution of fellowships to the different departments at the institute will be at the discretion of the Director.
Fellowship:
Fellowship will be awarded to 4 students every year in the field of Audiology.

Ph.D. from a recognized University in the area of speech, language and hearing Research experience in any Institution supported by a certificate by the Head of the Institution is desirable.

Fellowship :
Fellowship will be awarded to 2 students every year in the field speech, language and hearing.
