Post Graduate Courses:

ACHARYA : (Eq.to M.A. in 14 shastras) :

Duration: 2 years

Age : 20 years minimum.

Eligibility : Pass in Sastri/any graduate course with Sanskrit as Main Subject/Language or any equivalent examination. Subjects offered : Sahitya [UGC Special Assistance Programme]/Vyakarana/Jyotisha (Phalita, Sidhanta)/ Nyaya/Mimamsa/Advaita Vedanta/Visishtadvaita Vedanta/ Dvaita Vedanta / Vedabhashya/Agama/Sankhya Yoga/ Dharmasastra/Puranetihasa. If the applications are more than 60 for Acharya in Sahitya there will be an entrance test and those who pass the entrance test will be called for interview.

Eligibility : Pass in Sastri/equivalent traditional Degree with Computer Science / Computer Applications or any graduate with Sanskrit and Computer Science / Applications from any recognized university.

P.G.Diploma in Yoga Therapy and Stress Management:
(This programme is offered under the UGC's innovative programme)

Duration:1½ year (including 6 months Internship)

Eligibility : Any graduate with second class.This course has been introduced under the Innovative programme sanctioned by UGC.

M.Sc (Computer Science & Language Technology):
(This programme is offered under the UGC's innovative programme)

Duration: 2 years (4 Semesters) ;

Seats : 30

Age : Minimum 20 years ;

Eligibility : Any graduate with Computer Science/Computer Applications with Sanskrit at +2 level. Course Content : Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Language and Speech Processing.

Selection Procedure: in all Sastras/Sahitya/Education. Entrance Test will be conducted

Hostels: Limited Hostel facility is available for boys and girls separately. No Hostel facility for Diploma/Certificate course students.

REGULAR PROGRAMMES:

Under Graduate Courses:

1. Prak-Sastri (Eq. to +2/INTERMEDIATE):

Duration: 2 years

Age:15 to 18 years. No upper age limit for ladies.

Eligibility:Pass in one of the following examinations of 10 years study with minimum five or six papers. The maximum marks should be 500 and above with English as one paper.

a)S.S.C/CBSE/NOS with Sanskrit or without Sanskrit and pass in ABHIJNA of Sanskrita Bhasha Pracharini Sabha, Chittoor

b)Purva Madhyama of
1. Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi
2. Sampoornananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi

c)Sanskrit Entrance Examination conducted by the Govt. of A.P with English.

d)Any examination recognized as equivalent to X class with Sanskrit

e)Candidates possessing S.S.C without Sanskrit are also eligible to join the course subject to the condition of passing the entrance test in Sanskrit conducted by the R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati.

Scheme of Study :
Part -1 : 1st Language : English, 2nd language : Hindi/Telugu/Sanskrit
Part -2 : Paper-1 : Sanskrit (Compulsory)
Optional Sastra of Sahitya/Vyakarana/Darsana /Jyotisha will be taught during second year syllabus.

2. SASTRI/ Eq.to B.A. : (with Computer Applications/Science):

Duration:3 years

Age: 17 years minimum.

Eligibility: Pass in Prak-Sastri / Upa-Sastri / Madhyama/Uttara Madhyama/Sahitya/Intermediate or equivalent with Sanskrit.

3. SASTRI Vedabhashyam/Eq. to B.A.

Duration:3 years.

Age: 17 years minimum.

Eligibility:Those who have completed Samhita Brahmana, Aruna and Kathaka and having knowledge of Sanskrit are eligible subject to passing of Entrance Test conducted by Vidyapeetha.

4. B.A.(I Elect. Sanskrit compulsory with Computer Applications) :

Duration: 3 years

Age: 17 years minimum.

Eligibility: As specified for the Sastri course above.

5. B.Sc./Eq. to Sastri : (with Computer Science and Mathematics).
